There are three schools in the village and one closely related, at Foremarke, plus the secondary school at Etwall:

Repton Primary School

Newton Solney CE Infant School

The school is a Church of England Voluntary Aided infant school for girls and boys aged four to seven years.  It is situated in the village of Newton Solney. www.newtonsolney.derbyshire.sch.uk

John Port School, Etwall

Saint Wystan’s School and Nursery

St Wystan’s is an independent school, set right in the heart of the village, for children from 21/2 to 11 years.  Please visit the website www.stwystans.org.uk  or telephone 01283 703258 for more details.

Repton School

It is said that Repton School has the longest unbroken history of any school in England, having been teaching children since 1557.  The school is independent and for both girls and boys, aged 13 to 18.  There are currently more than 500 pupils.  The school buildings contribute significantly the distinctive architecture in the village.  The School has a website; www.repton.org.uk

Repton Prep School

This is the preparatory school for Repton School.  There are more than 400 pupils currently.  The school moved to Foremarke Hall in 1940.  This former stately home was built in 1760 for the Burdett family.  The School has a website; Repton Prep

In addition to the schools there is also a nursery, Woodend Private Day Nursery, on Main Street.  This is for children aged 0 to 8 years and is open from 7:30 till 6.  The phone number is 01283 704555.
