REPTON VILLAGE HISTORY GROUP

NEWSLETTER- ISSUE 30 – SUMMER 2010

As you will be aware, the post of Chairman has been unfilled for some time and we are grateful to Alan Thompson, our Vice-Chairman, for holding the fort so well.

At our last Committee Meeting, Ivor Sandars agreed to be co-opted as Acting Chairman. Ivor has been on the committee for a long time and we are grateful that he has agreed to do this. He was one of the original members of the group and has very strong connections with Repton so the appointment is very appropriate.

Also at the last Committee meeting it was resolved that due to increasing costs, especially of speakers, we need to boost our income slightly and to this end the following modest cost increases will become effective as shown.

Membership will increase from 1st January 2011. It will become £4.00 per annum for single membership and £8.00 for family.

Admittance to our monthly meetings will increase from 1st September 2010. This will become £2.00 for members and £3.00 for visitors.

We have held our prices for several years so trust that you will agree that these increases are modest and similar to other similar groups in the area..
